Application of the product

Cleanse & dry

Do thoroughly cleanse & dry the area before application.

Applying the gel

Do apply a thin layer of SILCONEX Scar Treatment Gel with a clean finger to the affected area twice per day.

Be consistent

Do apply for a minimum of 60 – 90 days.

  • Do not use on Patients with a known allergy to dimethicone, silicone or natural ingredients of Silconex and do not use on open wounds.

Detailed product description

SILCONEX rapidly dries to form a flexible, waterproof sheet which forms a protective barrier against chemical, physical and microbial invasion of the scar site while assisting with hydration. This creates an environment which allows the scar to mature through normalised collagen synthesis and helps improve the physiological and cosmetic appearance of the scar. Silicone gels are recommended as the gold standard, first-line, noninvasive option for the prevention and treatment of scars.
